FPS And Graphics
Hey so I have to say ONI is an amazing game. One thing I love about it is the graphics & details but this has caused a lot of issues for me. First of all i'm using a Laptop (RIP), and every once in a while I get a HUGE FPS spike. So I was wondering will there be an update that can allow you to edit the graphics settings. I love this game but this is the one thing thats kinda holding me back from playing a lot.
I know that Klei is working hard on other updates but i'm just curious when there might be an update for that.

The game itself is not quite demanding
But with a big colony it's sure you will haves spikes
Except if you have a decent cpu and 6-8 gibs of ram

So it's sure they will not include graphics settings

It's useless and they can't optimize so much a game like ONI

Yeah, just hope that maybe once the game is fully out then they would but in the mean while i'm just gotta live with it ._.
Check if you got any background processes running while playing; maybe the spikes happen because your AV starts some file check or because Windows starts downloading updates or whatever else...

Let me be blunt, currently this game is not advised to play on a crappy laptop due to the sheer size of potential calculations the game must do as you remove fog of war.

The game issues is like the reverse difficulty of space invaders. The more you expose, the more the cpu must work to calculate everything.

the game doesn't really tax any of my threads/cores, not the graphics card either... might aswell be an engine issue. again... *sigh* :/
