Automated kitchen+Great Hall with infinite food storage
Hi

Here is how you can store food and ingredients in infinite storage using 1x1 space filled with chlorine.

Dupes can grab food diagonally. Sweeper is providing cooking ingredients to all kitchen equipment and is storing prepared food using conveyor loader. Food is moved on rails and dropped into 1x1 space filled with chlorine.
Ingredients are loaded into storage near 2 base exits, each on one side of the base, where exosuits docks are. This way dupes doesn't have to bring ingredients into the base and waste time on putting and taking off atmosuits.

Here are some screenshots:

On below video you can see how it works. Also it shows how to prevent an infinite loop of dupes grabbing and storing food.

It uses mechanized airlocks to control access to food. During downtime for all schedules the doors are opened so dupes can access food, but then, when last downtime ends, door closes and third door, covering conveyor loader, opens, so if there is any food laying on the ground then dupes will deliver it, without taking any food from the storage.

This way you don't have to use "sweep only" option on loaders and if dupes left some food on the ground it will be automatically put back into the storage.

Nice, relatively simple and efficient, cool stuff!

If you're going to make how-to stuff I'd recommend not having so much stuff in the picture. It took me a solid minute to even FIND where you were putting the food because there's decorations and stuff everywhere.

I hoped that video and shipping overlay would show where food is stored. I added additional screenshot explaining things.
Thanks for feedback.

A simple conveyor rail leading to an enclosed, timed door, cooled down room with chlorine is 100x simpler than this. Art, for the sake of art.

It is still really simple. And my main goal is efficiency - dupes pick up food on their way to the great hall so they don't have to run to any other room.

Also why cooling a food storage room if it already has a sterile atmosphere? And how providing an additional element of cooling system is 100x simpler then this? This doesn't need any cooling. It is just a 1x1 small room that stores food. You cannot get anything simpler or smaller than that.
