How does one get rid of removed mods?

I have uninstalled all my mods and reinstalled the game but every time I go into the mod menu there is nothing there and I get a message saying "uninstalled:" I know this was a mod that I had that was removed from steam. How do I fix this?

I assume you delete all the folders with the mod files and then verify the game with steam. Uninstall is an automatic tool that doesn't always work 100%. Sometimes you have to manually remove files.

Then you didn't remove all files. Some main game files may have been changed rather than substituted. These need to be deleted and re-downloaded.

where do I look for all files?

There's not going to be a search function that finds all changed or added files. However depending on how you mod this game you should have some idea what files you are changing and where mod files are placed on your computer.

What you can do though is delete the main oni folder and if mod files are redirected to some other folder like in "my documents", delete that too. The game should tell you where it is placing mod files.

Mods are not stored in the game directory, uninstalling the game will not delete mods.

1. Unsubscribe from the mod you want gone
2. Either find the mod and delete it (not as easy since they're in folders based on the mod ID from Steam). Or delete all mods and let Steam redownload them Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods
3. Restart ONI
