How does Aireborne Critter Bait work?
So I've been doing some digging in old posts on the internet about capturing a Puft.
The short answer I came to was to bait it with slime. Some others have suggested to lure it closer to the trap by using polluted air. I decided to use bottled PO and then releasing it near the trap.

So in my experience this worked. It ate the bait in the trap. Great. Trap is gone, but its still not wrangled. So what did I do wrong? Was I suppose to set a Dupe to Wrangle it manually while it was close to the ground?

This question persists as of now. I have a Critter Drop-off building that is filtered to drop off a Puft and Puftlet. nothing happened.

P.S. It would be nice if there was a list somewhere I could look at that displays what bait works with what critter as well.

Critter bait unfortunately doesn't wrangle anything. It draws them to the area, at which point you can attempt to trap them in a room by either building around it or closing the door.

ah. sad. its wandering around in and out of places in my base that are not suitable to use this method. It did manage to wander into my power room. The trick is getting it out.

Yeah understandably from what I've gathered its a bait building and not a trap. This part I knew.

I know shinebugs can be autowrangled by putting a critter dropoff in the room they're in and excluding them from the list. Don't know about pufts.
there is the critter trap which im pretty sure works for airbornes

works for flyers, but the trick is getting them in range to actually catch them, placing a lure behind a trap in a tight tunnel might do the trick, or as said above just box it into a room and auto-wrangle with a critter dropoff.

It's possible to wrangle the flying critters pufts included.
