Hexagon base a new challenge
Hello
If any one is tired the circle and box like bases , and looks for a new way to change the game. you can try to make a beehive for you dupes. Like most of the modular base were you try to fit each module like a puzzle. You build a small hexagon of 9x9x9x9x9x9 after another and so on. for extra challenge you can try to break little as possible between the hexagons when you merge them.

To create a hexagon start by making a line of 20 blocks at the each end build 4 blokcs up and down /note: the blocks must start from the line it self so you will have 18 blocks to build on/. Make a diagonal of 4 segments of 1 by 2 and one segment of 1 by 1 at the end mirror the diagonal on the other side and the final segment of 1 by 1 will align with the other same on the other side.

On the link i posted you can see that i didn't merge the walls of each building so the double walls provide a better look /atlest for my OCD/

Or you can try and create this maintenance tunnels between them with a gap of 2.

I am sure the base will not be 100% efficient and there will be a problem pathing but working around a solution will be the personal challenge for every1 until the creators decide to make stairs were our dupes will zig zag all day long and hatch /real hatch a door on the floor/.

I recommend using the 9x9x9x9x9x9 hexagon but you can go bigger if you want just remember to with uneven numbers on the side i try making a one of 7x7x7x7x7x7 but looks too derpy

yea no it would impossible considering current pathfinding my dups get stuck constantly when just jumping 1 block now imagine them juping 10 blocks every time they pass

It's very neat looking, but what about the single tile flooring for each hexagon? I can't imagine you'd fit anything short of a battery or storage container.
