But the way I understood it, was that the minimum water temperature is the same as the overheat temperature of the tub *(changable?)
So the room and the tub must be kept cool, and the water hot.
At least that's how I read it.... TIME TO TEST!
since it said the water cools fast, I wonder if it will be another way to cool water down... or if its just throwing the heat out into the room. >.>
EDIT:
So i tested it out, and the water does NOT cool down fast what so ever.
Biggest issue aside from the unlisted bleach component, is keeping the temp of the tub down.
honestly a liquid tepidizor keeping the temp to 40, and a pump to the tub with a little bit of water to cycle is all that's needed for the temp of the water.
The issue is that even if the OVERHEAT value of the tub is +200c with steel, the tub malfunctions at 37.7C (or w/e it is for F) You need to cool down the tub building directly to keep it under that temperature.
Much like the Robo miner in space, and the plastic refiner early on, buildings do not transmit heat very quickly to the tiles they are placed, nor to the gas around them. *(Or pipes behind them)
The most reliable way to cool down the tub (i found) is to have a liquid on it/beside with temp shift plate, and then run cold liquid/gas through that, to transmit the heat out of the tub.
I'm sure a more creative or smarter person has probably already figured out how to use it more effeciently, but I think I'm going to build one of these in my base this weekend, now that I know how to get it to work.
I suppose the Sauna should be the next on my list of things to experiment on :D
My world is extremely hot and filled with desert biomes with no ice biomes at all. The only way to cool my base is using my water supply with aqua tuners.
By the time the water reaches the hot tub it is 60F.
Is the only way to raise the temp to 99.9F using a tepidizer in a tank?
I'm gonna try using radiant pipes to warm the water, but this seems like a great deal of work for so little return.
"The water is too cold"
What?
all you need to do is transfer some of the worlds thermal energy into the water, in any way to heat the water up.
Liquid tepidizer is just the simplest method, trading energy for heat.
Run radiant pipes through a hot biome to bring heat into the water pool *(FOR THE TUB)
use a metal refinery to super heat the water up
etc etc etc.
You can basically just use a couple of bottles of water for a single tub and be fine *(tub only needs half a full bottle), So instead of trying to plug it into your cooling system, keep that water seperate and warm, since that's the point.
Use your cooling system to keep the tub cool, and the small side pool of warm water for fuel in the tub.
If you think the Tub's giant +5 morale is too little of a return, I'd also suggest avoiding Saunas, and Soda Fountains.
Saunas take a LOT to be worth while, and only give +2
Soda Fountains consume 5x the amount of water an expresso machine needs, and gives the same morale.
EXTRA NOTE:
So long as the water is above your 99.9F?, and it is NOT STEAM, the water will be hot enough. The real issue is keeping the tub cool, which is what I thought you were having a problem with.
