Not Loading Save Files

Yesterday everything was fine. Till today when I try to launch the game, there is no "resume" button and when I click "load game" the save list window is empty. Then I located my local save file location, my saves (.sav) are all there with some thumbnail screenshot. It seems my saves are intact but somehow the game doesn't know to pick up the saves and loads it. Restart game or pc and verify integrity not helpful either. What should I do?

No recent game update after installed (I purchased and installed the game only few days ago), no pc updates, no mods installed and no any sorts of settings modification.

That's strange... If this happened to me I would probably first verify the integrity of my game files. (Right click on the game in Steam, select properties - local files - verify). If this fails then I would reinstall the game. Make a backup of your game save files first though.

Hmm... Start a new game and play for a little while then save and exit. See if you can load the new saved game.

Are you running any mods that could potentially cause issues with the game?

Did you reinstall the game like I suggested earlier?

I'm out of solutions for you man. Good luck... (If this happens to me I will rage quit)

Thanks for your help anyway. I finally figured out it was my Windows Security blocking OxygenNotIncluded.exe from read and write from my C drive. I didn't realize cuz the desktop never popped up any notification regarding it (usually it does all the time). I enabled authorization and it is working now. Damn should have figured it out that simple earlier.

I'm glad you figured it out. Hopefully the other people having this issue will find this little thread and try the solution you found.
