Glass
I'm still not getting how glass works, what do you do with it when you pump it out of the smelter?

Glass will be in liquid form at 1500C when it's in the pipe right out of a smelter. Once it hits air it will cool super fast and heat up the surroundings and turn into solid glass. The solid glass is what you use to make glass tiles and solar panels.

So do I pump it out onto the ground or into water or something?
My glass vanishes as it comes out of my pipe?

You need to cool the glass until it's a safe enough temperature to pick up and be used. I put mine inside my iron volcano/steam turbine room as the steam will help cool the glass down and the heat from the glass will run my turbines.
