Okay, HOW do I pump water???

Just got this game and like it EXCEPT I cannot figure out how to pump water. I've got a water pump submerged in water and powered, but it says "no outlet" I've run pipe to a manual pump and to algae terrariums but none of them are receiving water. What the H#$L am I missing?

terrariums do not have an input, they must be manually filled using the bottle filler by dupes

Thanks! That explains that part. Now how do I connect the bloody bottle filler to the water source and where do I get bottles from?

Pitcher pump.

I've tried every way I can think of to connect the pitcher pump to the water supply and nothing seems to work.

Terrariums can receive water from tile, where they staying.

Just place the pitcher pump in water. The dupes will manually retrieve bottles of water from the pitcher pump.

Aha! Thank you very much! Now where do I get containers?

No need for containers, your dupes will get the water bottled from there by default and deviler it to whereever it's needed (for buildings without pipe input atleast)
