2: Have a container set to store whatever you want stored that is set to priority 9.
The storage dupe should then store everything in that container before doing anything else. Oh, and it has nothing at all to do with tidy. Forget that.
The only materials I ever set to priority 9 are food, so it immediately gets put into my sterile storage area and Slime/Bleach Stone because getting those under water to prevent them off-gassing is important too.
Depending on how an area is setup you may want to have a high priority 'Liquifiable' storage too to stop melting ice leaking all over random areas of your outstations. But make sure that is set to 'Sweep Only' or you'll have dupes attempting to clean half a cold biome for no reason.
