pump with a gasline into the buildings which will make a gas canister
i don't know how much it will put in, after that the dupes have to bring the canister to the place where you want it and use 2nd building who will release the gas.

In a couple of my play-throughs with the same situation, I just temporarily co-opted existing pipes to move the gases and then set the pipes back to how they were
If you haven't used gas filters before, you will need to know that they have two outputs. The orange output is the gas you selected to filter, and the green output will be all other gases. You can filter multiple gases from one pump by chaining multiple filters together.
The other option would be to pump it into gas pipes, then separate the hydrogen with a gas filter, and pipe it to a gas vent where you want the hydrogen to be. Both of these methods can also be used for most gases in the game as well.
It might be less time consuming to use an electrolyzer built near your desired location, and a short gas fliter system to separate the hydrogen and oxygen produced. This method does consume clean water though, and produces oxygen that needs to be vented else where.
If you want to use the hydrogen for power, and your not going to cool or insulate the room and gas pipes, your setup should be built outside, or at least near the edge of your base to limit overheating, and will only be temporary unless you are using electrolyzers to produce the hydrogen.
Even a natural hydrogen gas vent will not produce enough gas on average to sustain one generator indefinitely without automated downtime.
A hydrogen generator and electrolyzer can be used to make a self sustaining oxygen generator after finding a sustainable clean water supply. The gases produced by the electrolyzer though, will always come out at a temp of 70C, so the oxygen will need to be cooled if your going to use it for late game breathable oxygen production.
