Breeding gulp fish. question:
I decided to try to breed some fish in my cold water tank. The fish have been in there for about 20 cycles, yet still have 1 or 2% chances of spawning a gulp fish. I did the opposite thing in my PH2O tank, so I could use that water on my nuts, and that worked great. Most of my fish there have %s in the 70s and even 80s of spawning a tropical pacu. They have been there longer, but still. It seems very different. Are the gulps bugged or does it just take longer for the spawning odds to change for those?

My long term plan is to use the gulp fish to clean some of my endless amounts of polluted water. If they would only spawn...

You don't show us the exact temperature of the water, also the current temperature of the Pacu itself.

edit: for molten slickster the comfort range is 90c to 250c yet from personal experience I find they don't start laying molten eggs reliably until it's over 100c so maybe you just need to go colder.. use polluted water?

Right. It's between 3.8 and 5.4 degrees. Anyway I finally got my egg. In the tropical fish tank, because why not? I now have four gulp fish in the tank. I just don't understand how this probability stuff works sometimes.
