Heavy Watt Joint Plate, and power automatic door.
Automatic doors have entrance for power on lower square, if i put a heavy watt plate on vertical, i cant power the door, and even put heavy wire.....so, how can i power the door on late game?

Why you want to power doors using heavy watt wire? Doors need only 120W.

Just a mater of praticity, becouse i dont wana put transformators on every door.

Join plate also needs to be connected - this means you will have to build at least one dot of heavy wire on the end of the plate overlapping the doors. But since you cannot run heavy wires through doors then it is not possible.

Why do you speak of transformators on every door ??? I think you have something missunderstood about electricity maybe ?

you just need to power doors as you would anyother basic device with normal cable. Heavy wire is for between tranformators, batteries and production devices only

No the game has a missunderstanding of electiricity. If you have 9000 watts going through your heavy watt wire and you run a standard wire from it to the door, without a transformer, you'll fry the standard wire because 9000 watts will go through that wire even though you only have 1 120w draw on it. I tried it, it's dumb.

I think we mean to discuss inside of the games mechanics and not "about" the game mechanics.
I'm sure many of the games mechanics are "dumb" from a realistic pov.

Based on the game mechanics you need to have transformer for any regular wire you run off the heavy watt wire or you'll fry the regular wire.

that's right. But you can provide many many doors with power with a single transformer. Probably all of your doors with a single transformer even !

Yeah, but if my doors, are at huge distant apart, i will probably take a transformator for every sector......but in my point of view, the conectors of heavy-vatt plates should act as a wire to conect in automatic doors, i cant see why not.

Well it could maybe work but it is not needed really. If you have a very distant door, just run a standard cable to it.

Underlaw ...lay out a length of wire and lay your tv on it watch tv as the wires dont need a connection they just need to be close

@Underlaw -- Your HWW power-plant bus should generally be outside of your main base altogether, and hanging off of that "one main bus" you'll want about 3 transformers (also outside your base). Each of these runs small wires to SEPARATE sections of your base, with no batteries on the small/inside wiring whatsoever. Power your doors and inside equipment off the small wire nearest to them, and use math to determine how much you can really put on each circuit (considering total power in use at any moment.)

Think "big tree trunk, three separate small branches."

Maybe add a 4th Transformer for outside-of-base doors & low-power gear too, if you need it.

If you put the batteries on the consumer side(small wires) instead of the production side (generator/HWH) then the transformers will stop producing heat when the generators stop. But if you put them on the production side then transformer keeps generating heat.

Yeah i understood the mechanic, and why use transformators, thinking in branchs, etc, and all.
But im pretty close to 300 days, and i have at last 10 gas pumps, 6 water pump, 1 ore smelter (1200w), and much stuffs. I have 2 gas geysers, with 3 gas power plants each, plus the hydrogen power plant to make oxygen.... its almost 15kW that i needed. And for cooling system im having trouble.
I know that if i use sand box game, i can fix everything, but im a hardcore player, and game progress so slow and so hard, that i use Heavy-watt wire all my base, no problem at all with stress becouse i give so much free time to the boys, that my morale is +6 base.
Right now the biggest problem is the heat, im going to do something.
