Airlock and many deodorizers, slimelung will quickly die in clean air and low amounts of slimelung are nothing to worry about

put a storage can in a little puddle of water first, set it to store only slime, and set it to an appropriate priority to get dupes to clean up the slime quickly (you may also need to adjust your sub-priority settings if you're not used to doing that).

Dig through hydrogen biomes first, shear some dreckos or grab a thimble reed if it is reachable for reed fibers and tech up to exosuits. No more problems.
That way, you'll also get chlorine at the bottom of your base which is useful once you start scrubbing all the co2 away but still need a sterile atmosphere for food storage.

No need for water airlock, just place deodorizers with even intervals as you dig and place the slime in an underwater or chlorine container.

I like the underwater container idea

Bleachstone is your friend. Confined small space with a couple containers. Mine some bleachstone and store it, not even that much. Once a little bit of chlorine builds up, store all the slime there. One deodoizer outside the airlock door for the Poluted Oxygen that creeps out on occasion. I put mine behind the outhouse bathroom setup, so the supes hit the sink after drop off.

Slimelung dies off super fast. You do not loose hardly any slime for the decomp into PO.

Getting liquid into the storage space can be annoying.

Careful you don't bring infect algae into your base. Also, don't try and mine too much slime lung biome at a time. You can also block people from going through a door if their immunity % falls to low.

I would avoid this one since the last update. Trekking through water is a pretty bad moral hit. Air locks with deorderizers and chlorine storage is the way to go. Just make sure that you are accessing your storage from the top and that you have enough air pressure to keep the gas contained.

not a water lock, just a storage container sitting in a puddle of water to prevent outgassing. works for the bleachstone as well as anything that outgasses.

In an enclosed space the outgasing of bleachstone disinfects slime at an extremely accelerated rate. For the liquid, you fill a very enclosed space 4x4 tiles with 2 containers, with a 2 tile high wall on one side with the door on the upper 2 tiles. then stand adjacent above the liquid to interact with the containers without getting wet.

The hard part is getting the liquid in there to begin with, where as bleach stone is so much easier and effective.

one tile wide, 2 tile deep pit with water and a storage box. they will jump over it when walking. good storage for slime, bleach, etc.

Unless your base is full of polluted oxygen it doesn't matter if you bring some slime through your base. The germs will die. Perhaps temporarily increase the auto desinfect setting so your dupes don't all waste their time with that.

It does nothing to morale.
Please don't spread misinformation.

That's another pretty good reason not to go into a swamp until you teched up and use electrolyzers and suits.
You can't sepparate germ infested algae from the regular stuff. Later on, you can just dump all of your algae in chlorine or a cold biome where slimelung germs die quickly.

Soggy Feet adds stress the more they do it.

Stress Change: +10%/cycl

Complaining about mis information and not adding the correct information is about as bad as giving mis information to begin with.
