Random water appearing in places
I have lots of enclosed rooms. I've noticed water keeps appearing in places that dont make sense.

Now I have a compost room entirely filled with Poxygen. The only pipe nearby is a crude oil pipe. There is no chance for water to leak or break.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Were dupes able to store ice or snow in your water tank?

There are designated ice and snow containers, but they're nowhere near them, and not in a travel route to them either.

Composts make polluted dirt which makes polluted oxygen, so that room could be normal. But when I notice a puddle and can't immediately find the cause, I can sometimes find the exact point of origin cuz the puddle will be deeper there, and determine which ladder the snowball, or whatever, was dropped from. What type of liquid is it? Is there steam anywhere? Is water transitioning in pipes? Yesterday I had a bottle emptier in my old watertank making puddles. There are so many possible causes I can only make guesses.
I assume your dupes have adequate toilet facilities...

Last night I had a block of sand drop onto my storage bin sitting in a pool of salt water. It probably made a splash 4 times as big as what the amount of salt water was originally stored.

Sometimes dupes will drop snow/ice down a shaft. The new route generated may take them through areas you won't expect if you just look at where the ice was dug and the storage location.
Also things like exosuit power loss can take them though areas you aren't expecting, or a door that you accidentally hooked up to an automation wire for something else.

If you frequently get some water in an area and you can't figure it out through reasoning alone the best is to save (so you can return after finding it), then use debug speed and just look at the spot to catch it when it happens.
