Mechanical door floors to drop eggs when the pop reaches above max.
autosweepers set to activate with a critter sensor to only work when pop reaches above max.
etc.
My main problem with the autosweepers though, is that they act FAST. and eggs on rails still count toward the pop in the ranch. This can lead to sweepers yanking a bunch of eggs that would have replaced a dying ranch *(lets say 2/8 hatches, one of the 2 lay the 7th egg, then all 7 eggs are taken away while you only have 2 hatches left )
Also: usually when the term "Automatically" comes into play, it likely should be done with Automation, or at least without dupe intervention ;)
Also I don't think i've used mechanical doors yet either. You mean you can make the whole floor be mechanical doors? Sorry! I'm still learning a lot about ONI!
Yes, you can make the floor to a ranch be mechanical doors, and set them up to a critter sensor so they drop the eggs out of the ranch. An easy lowish tech solution to maximise the ranch's effeciency
EDIT: works for some critter ranches.... dreckos that need to consume from a live plant obviously would need farmtile or hydroponic flooring. *(maybe planter boxes on mech doors could work?)
Point is: every ranch can be different, and every critter needs slightly different things.
This seems like a wonderful idea until I learn moreabout automation, thnk you!
