Only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dude from printer after a while
I'm at cycle 800 and I don't think I've seen a dupe offer from the printer that wasn't a destructive or binge eater in something like 400 cycles. Am I just very unlucky or is there some mechanic that make this happen once you have too much dude or pass some cycle threshold?

There is a set list of dupes. I dont know if this means the dupes have the same stress reactions when they have the same name or not, but its something to think about.

Though, at cycle 800 are you still have big stress issues? I dont even look at stress reactions after a certain point as I make sure to keep everyone as happy as I can. You might need to look into dealing with stress more than what the reactions are. Not being sassy, just a thought.

hi

you could always use a mod to help.. if this frustrates enough.

this will not deactivate steam achievements btw.

or like mono suggests, do the things that decrease stress.. or build a massage room, ect.

i don't really bother with stress modifiers, several ways to eliminate stress.

all the best.

Yeah seem like they have a fix stress reactions linked to the dupe name. I sent Nails to space and she started showing up right away in the printer since she wasn't counted as in the colony while away in a rocket. She showed up two time and both time she had the ugly cryer stress reaction with random interest and trait.

So seems like there 21 dupes with ugly crier or vomiter and I will have to look into getting better decor and food if I wan't more dupe.

Not sure why you care so much about the stress reactions, you should never reach that point.

OP, each Dupe has their own stress reactions and joy responses (all Meeps are destructive and sparkle streakers).

As you take on more Dupes, the Printer Pod is more inclined to give you a Dupe you don't already have so you will see the same Dupes (and therefore same stress reactions).

But seriously, you do not have to worry about types of stress reactions. The problem isn't the reaction....its the fact they are getting to 100% stress.

I recommend you ignore completely what the stress reactions are and focus on the other traits when selecting your Dupes.

I also recommend you focus on preventing\dealing with stress and not on the stress reaction.

That begs the question for me; what happens when you have all the dupes in the colony? The printing pod just stops giving you dupes and only gives you care packages?

You start getting doubles. You start getting doubles even before you get them all and when you only have a couple left the final dupes only have a high chance of appearing but are not guaranteed, so you might not get all 35 in as many prints.

I never really liked managing stress and it's the first thing I forget about when thing get challenging. I also love to abuse the top priority to get ♥♥♥♥ done. Because of this I lost many base to dupe with destructive or binge eater stress reaction. This game I solved the problem by only picking dupe without them and it work spender.

But I'm doing very nice with stress this time, haven't had anyone over 30 in something like 400 cycles. Might pick a few of them if I can get one that doesn't suck. Still I doing fine with 21 dupes right now.

Abusing top priority too much actually gets less done because you are cancelling tasks, wasting time, and also not allowing their ai to finish tasks in the optimal order.

Having a stress reaction, even the mild ones, wastes a lot of time. It is much more efficient to just keep their morale high. You do not have to give them time at the arcade or hot tub, just give them the essential rooms and decent food, and don't pick too many random skills.

Never abuse the emergency priority system. It slowly kills if you aren’t paying attention. If you want jobs done faster, get enough dupes so you can have around the clock efficiency. That’s the dream off all ONI players.

If stress is too much of a hassle why not just disable it in the world settings? It sounds like it would make the game more enjoyable for you.
