Gas grass impossible to light?

I have a light bulb over every single gass grass plot and it still says it's sleeping because lack of light. The room is filled with oxygen. The lights have power and are on the 4th tile over the farm plot like so:

I do not know how to get more light for them than this. o.0

Probably needs proper sunlight from space.

sunlight does not light it enough. :/ layered 3 levels of lights, with windows between, and still not enough sunlight.
feel like im missing something important with them...

Ive tried, a ton of ways to get 20k lumin artificially but with lights alone I could only hit 19,170 lumins. however add a few shine bugs at 1800 lumins each and you get well over. With shine bugs alone I was able to hit 26k lumins but that takes quite a bit of ranching work.

The surface light is the easiest way to grow gas grass, Ive been growing it for a few hundred cycles on the surface. The lumins max out at like 75k on the surface. You can even just leave seeds on top of regolith and it will grow wild without chlorine. You just need the right temp and air pressure then you can farm gas grass for gassy moos to make natural gas for very lil...

Note for gassy moo ranching, they have no reproduction and you cant wrangle or lure them.
so you must have fully sealed launch bays with attached tunnel and automated doors for corraling them to the stable/gas grass farm...
