Dupes wont stop working?
Every once in awhile I seem to have 1 or 2 dupes who ignore all of their needs completely and work until they kill themselves even if I create a new schedule for them with zero work hours they just keep working up until it kills them

What kills them? Starvation? Needs like toilets, sleep and breathing works fine fore me. I have noticed dupes waiting until they are starving before eating. Not sure what part of the schedule is the eating one. I haven't had anyone die though, but if someone knows what the problem is I won't have to test it myself ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if they are experimenting with the eating system (or needs in general). It used to be that they ate 2k calories which doesn't work when they need the morale boost every day, and people also got upset when dupes dropped a task to go eat because it made them less efficient.

try giving them at least 4 off duty slots before sleep then the 4 sleep and 1 shower. if they still have nothing to do after they have had their fun they will go back to work before calling it a night.

More details are needed or rather: A save is the best mean to identify bugs and any other problems. Duplicants should not literary die if there is permitted food in reach and ofc oxygen as well. However, if there is none or no path...

I will have to remember to keep a save around the next time it happens, I reloaded a previous save and they went back to their normal happy cycle,

it was very odd, I had just excivated a large area down thear the bottom against the abyssalite for storing polluted water because it was next to a chlorine deposit, there was a rise and on the other side I prioritized a level 5 digging area for constructing a couple coal generators.

Two of my dupes went down in that area and began to dig out for constructing an enclosure, the end of shift toggeled and they just kept working, eventually they peed themselves and began to starve. I took one dupe and guided him manually back to the base all the way to the restroom and he immediatly went all the way back down and continued to work, eventually he peed himself again, the other dupe died from starvation while working. I guided the dupe all the way back to the main base and yet again he chose to race back to work.

The strange thing is that all of this occured while I had the two dupes set to their own schedule after getting a starvation notice. I set their schedule to Only Freetime and assigned them to it hoping they would blow off some steam but they proceeded to go straight back to working until they both died from starvation.

Honestly in all my hours playing it was the weirdest thing I have ever seen

When I find dupes doing this sort of thing, usually there's something inhibiting them from going home. For example, dupes might dig themselves into a position where they can't get back. If these particular dupes can't dig out the abyssalite, they might be digging up everything else until they're trapped. Or perhaps something (like sand or a lot of water) dropped down betwen them and the way out. In the case of sand, you can just make it a high priority job, and they'll get home. If it's water, they might be unwilling to walk through a large enough pool.

There are other possibilities, like you accidentally disabled entry through a particular door that happened to be the only way home or something like that.

Also, remember that they can only climb 2 tiles high and can only jump over a hole that's 1 tile wide.

They may be stuck in red alert state. Try turning it off and on again.

I was able to get them back to the base, even to the bathrooms or beds hoping they would tend to their needs, but they would immediatly rush back to work, I think it may have been that 2 of them were stuck in red alert state for some reason, Ive tried to red aleart button once or twice when the needed to finish toilets or lavatories perhaps that caused some bugs down the line.
