Do 'Oil Reservoirs' run out ?
I have never tapped them before. Didn't think oil provided alot of power but it seems to be pertty good. Do they run out?

Thank you.

no provided you keep pumping water and release pressure they are infinite though given the amount of precius water they use your better off just making a slickster farm

Did they change it in the update because it says it takes 1000 g/s. An electrolyzer takes 1000 g/s. I don't think 1000 g/s is bad at all. Did it used to be higher?

AND, do slicksters even lay eggs?

1000/gs is actually a lot given that late game the only source of water is geysers so yeah using water for oxygen is a fair trade but using water for oil is not and if you breed slicksters yes they lay a LOT of eggs so you can make a large ranch on mesh tiles very fast disable your carbon skimmers and replace em with gas pumps and pump literally all the co2 you can find in to the oil biome for the oil if you can eventually upgrade to molten slicksters though there a little trickier to handle

Oil can be boiled into natural gas, which can be turned into polluted water, and then regular water. Going this route, you'd have a net positive amount of water. Obviously, using oil for other things would not yeild this, but you can always switch when needed.

What I did I installed a mod that lets me use any water to pump oil so I don't waste clean water

basically a shortcut since you could use the P water for cooling or steam power, then use that cleaned water that was boiled into steam for the oil pump. its an extra step but it does provide power regardless.

If anyone is reading this post release it is now completely wrong. Water isn't precious any more and slicksters are unable to produce oil in any decent quantity. However then and now you could make it not cost water as long as you were heating the oil instead of using the refinery, and then using the petrol for power.

If you were searching for ways to make oil the info you got was probably outdated. You can uninstall that mod now. Water is plentiful, and sieving cold polluted water does not increase its temperature to 40°C neither.

I agree. But, i would also say that the dates and times are greyed out so much that they are not quite visible, and that responsibility falls unto Steam/Valve. It's not that hard to code a red color for the purpose of year+ topics. So, maybe send a mail in their direction :)
