Is this game noob friendly?
I'm not very good with management games and often get bored if it gets too complicated. So, is this too hard for a semi-noob/casual player?
I can get 100% in Dark Souls, but my prisoners in Prison Break just die after 2 days. On a more serious note, the game that I've played the most is Tropico 4 and I wasn't too good at it, I'm not very crafty when it comes to these type of games.

You must really love ONI, considering how much you must hate playing early access! ;)

idk i would not call it so becouse updates can often break your saves , rebalance changes can literaly "almost destroy your base or ruin hours of progress" not to say your almost rrequired to remake game after big content patch

AAand there are sill no blueprints so whatever complex machine you used is lost

You can use developer mode and copypaste it but it creates 2 problems , 1 its cheated now build , and loading developer renders "all map" who creates lots problems , like meteorites will start destroying map from day 1 , creatures will die before you get to them(like on my last play all morbs died and i had to use cheat menu and it was just day 60)
Ofcourse, they need to update the game to make it better, its Early Access and thats what you must expect when you buy EA games...

I am at around day 100 and no need for a cheat menu. But its not always like that, sometimes it goes wrong and you need it or restart the game.

Saves are not always gonna work after an update but 90% of the time they do.

Still very addictive but not a game to play every single day for me personally.

The help here is pretty good though - if you can get past the my-way-is-the-only-way bias some display - in a good way of course. It's a sign of a good game. :steamhappy:
have i seen you on the ark survival evolved forums?

You have. Been there since the day it came out as EA. :)
Not noob friendly and probably will never be. Try to watch some good youtube channels about game - CrypticFox, Brothgar. I can tell that I'm playing this game probably over a year now, know a lot of it, but still can't master late stage game - my Steam Turbine still not working, my critters dying for some reason, I'm farming Meal Lice instead of Mushrooms, I still haven't used Nullifiers.

It doesn't really matter if you are noob. Everybody is a noob at the beginning. All that matters is to be intelignet enough to learn. This game has a high requirment regarding that matter. You need to be smart and inteligent to understand some concepts like basic physics and thermodynamics, how game works and hot to build some more advanced stuff. So I would say that this game is not for stupid people, but noobs are welcome, as long as they can learn.

I'd give the opposite advice, don't try to watch some good youtube channels about the game. Design your own solutions, don't copy their ultra-efficiency-borg-cube-oxygenizer-v1.83 ! At least thats how I enjoy the game, similar to how one would play Factorio or Opus Magnum. Ofcourse it's a different matter if you get stuck somewhere, watching other people's designs can also be inspiring too.
