Oxygen Not Included
How the hell to i cool down my base?
I've got a massive mealworm farm that can't do anything because of temperature. I've got wheezewortz next to my electrolyzers and everything. This happens to all of my bases. It all goes great until it overheats, at which point everyone dies.

My base has 35 full graves. help XD
Elecrolizers output O2 at 60°. So you will need more than placing a wheezewort next to it.

Place Wheezeworts in hydrogen because if it's thermal conductivity. And take advantage of the radiant pipes.

Damn, that's hot. Problem i have rn is that i need all the hydrogen i can get for my hydrogen generators. I think i'm going to start a new save, and create hydrogen room or something. Trying to use the hydrogen for power seemed to flop pretty bad, two electrolyzers couldnt even sustain a single generator.
The algie terrariams output O2 at the same temperature of the water fed into them if that helps.
So do i want to pump my fresh oxygen through a hydrogen bubble containing wheezewortz?

I think i'm going to try and use those a bit more this time around. The electolyzer was great for oxygen, but it was slowly killing me with heat.
In the past I put the output from the elecrolizer through four thermal regulators in a hydrogen filled room containing a wheezewort. It worked, but is very power hungry as you can imagine.

This was before they added radiant pipes. So Radiant pipes might be more efficient. Haven't tried though. My current base uses algie terrariams since you get most of the water back as polluted water now.
There really is no easy way to cool down your base right now which is annoying. everything else has a simple, -temporary- solution to things except heat management. It quite honestly kills the momentum of the game unless you love building annoyingly big "radiators" through your base.

What are those cooler building things i've heard about taht you can find? Are they somewhat good or is it a waste of effort searching for them?
Heat-death is probably the biggest mid-game challenge. It is beatable though. Some tips.

1: "Cold" is a limited resource. Preserve and protect it, and be judicious about when you use it. Along those lines...

2: Use hot water where you can. Lotsa people try to cool geyser water. Not worth it unless you're using it for farming. Put an abysalite insulation box around the geyser, with a gold pump inside, then run super-hot water through an insulated abysalite pipe straight to your electrolyzer. The air comes out hot regardless of the temp of water going in, so don't waste limited cooling on it. You might need to take a bit of heat out of the steam to turn it into a liquid, but don't waste any more.

3: Limit your heat production. Don't use transformers unless you need them. Avoid heaters if at all possible. Find ways to use fewer batteries. Maybe even ramp down power production if it's where your heat comes from.

4: Wheezeworts, wheezeworts, wheezeworts. These things are the most valuable thing in the game behind dupes and water geysers.

5: Wheezeworts work best (or at least used to) in high pressure hydrogen environments. I like to make a room with 20k hydrogen pressure and metal walls, then cram all the wheezeworts on the map inside (note, it takes about 50 cycles for them to reach full cooling after you plant em, so don't move em around). Then I pour petrolium over it till it's at like -60 and pump that around for cooling.

Long-term, the cold room is your best option. That worked miraculously before radiant pipes, so it's gotta be insanely effective now.
Oh, and an oxygen room that cools air to like 15C before it gets into your base can be super-effective. That's the first thing you should cool with your cold room.

What's worked for me so far is setting up an actual central air cooling system. I have a cool polluted oxygen geyser, so after I deodorize its product, I'm left with plenty of good, usable air. I pump that through Thermo Regulators (at least 2), to be left with air maybe just shy of freezing temperatures. That goes through insulated pipes into my base, and is released by gas vents strategically located on major floors. Maybe if I put some more thought into it, I'd use automation with gas valves and temp sensors to know when and where to output cold air, but this system has worked flawlessly for me so far. All the waste heat is behind double-thick insulated walls in the slime biome, where it can only do good to begin with by killing Slimelung germs.
The worts do work. If you place a battery next to a wort it will never get warmer than green no matter how long you play.

i do this keeps them cool no matter whats going on around the rest of base
