How Do I Use Conveyor Receptacles?

I tried to put items in a storage compactor using conveyor belts, but it wouldn't work. Do I have to use smart compactors?

You have to use autosweeper and set receptacle priority lower than compactor, autosweeper will move things into compactor.
Which compactor you use does not matter, you even can deliver things to various machines this way, not just compactors.

Keep in mind that your Receptacle can even have a priority of 1.

What you need to know in the conveyor system are these:

- A sweeper can load into the Conveyor Loader if it's priority is set to be higher than the priority of the container currently holding the resource.

- The priority of the Conveyor Loader and it's Conveyor Receptacle don't have to be the same.

- Similar to the first point, sweepers will only unload from Receptacle if it's priority is lower than their target container (Machines, Storage or anything else).

- Sweepers will not unload into machines if a dupe is already bringing resources to that machine (same if a dupe bringing resources that would fill the container).



Set all your Receptacles to priority 1 and you won't have to think too much about it.
