Natural gas generator: Fuel usage?
How much gas does a natural gas generator use?
I ask because i have a vent nearby which is outputting 96g/s of natural gas, with a ton saved up too.

the generator doesnt seem to tell how much gas it's using. How many generators can this vent support?

Check the build menu. There are all the details you need.
Answer is 60 g/s.

BTW: Thats the equivalent of 3 Fertilizer Makers ... Polluted Water is Fuel actually. And the three Fertilizer Makers use less power than the Generator produces. If you feed the Fertilizer to the Sage Hatch it makes Coal, which can be burned to power as well and the CO2 from it can be feed to Slicksters, who makes Crude Oil, which can be made into Plastik and Power as well by various ways. ... Possibilities .... Possibilites

so i can run two generators for a while, and eventually one will start shutting off?
thats a bit annoying :(

If you install a smart battery and hook it up to the generator with auutomation wires it should be plenty. Smart batteries can also save you tons of coal.

Do also analyze the vent when you are able to, as they go dormant from time to time. Then you'll know the actual output. I currently have a vent that outputs 225.8 g/s, but due to dormancy and inactive cycles, it's really just 50 g/s--not even enough for one generator.

There's an online calculator you can use to check: onical.ga so you know how many gas generators your vent can support.
