Gas pipe not splitting at a T-junction?
https://i.imgur.com/3XsfyVD.png
Been a while since last I played, and wondering if something has changed... or if this is a bug. In the setup shown above, the oxygen only ever wants to flow downward. It will occasionally send out a single block upward to the spot shown, but it stops there and eventually decides to go down again. I've tried reloading save, rebuilding the pipes, and cleaning them. Nothin'...

the gas most likely is going where it is wanted the most

It's already overpressure down there, sadly.

You could use a valve to limit the amount of gas going down, or add a bridge with an input right on the junction, which should split the gas.

Will have to try the valve, but I suspect it wont help. That is... I don't believe this to be a flow problem. As mentioned, the area below is teetering on overpressurization, and the pipes barely move anything that direction. The entire network above is empty, though, so you'd think it would flow that way... and it tries, but then goes right back down the moment it gets a chance. Worth noting as well that the overpressurization wasn't pressent when the system started up, so I doubt that is a factor.

Yeah it tends to happen sometimes in long pipe networks even if there doesn't seem to be any conflicting outputs. That's why I like using a lot of bridges, since it becomes a new point of origin for the flow and helps prevent weird behavior.

Pipes/ducts in general seem to be one of the few areas in the game I regularly have issues with. I'm sure it's something Klei is at least aware of, but I've frequently found myself having to rebuild things like gas filters because it doesn't click somewhere in the game that the pipe network is valid. I spent a good 5+ minutes destroying, reconnecting, adjusting, and just all around playing around with a hydrogen duct that the filter was flat out not using. It would work fine up until it sucked in some hydrogen and while the animation would continue playing and no "blocked" errors would show up, nothing would come out of either side. It wasn't until I completely removed the filter and rebuilt it when it started working again.

Far from game breaking, though hopefully it gets sorted out eventually, the fact that no resources are ever lost when destroying stuff makes it a mild annoyance at the very worst.
