No option for Drecko in critter feeder?

so how do you feed the drecko, when there is no option in the feeder for them?

well it's weird, but I think it will only eat directly from the plants

The challenge with Drecko is you need to plant the actual plants in the same stable you keep the Drecko in - they feed directly from the plants.

This means (for example) that if you decide to go with Mealwood you need to maintain two atmospheres.

dreckos are a bit of a hassle to be honest. u need hydrogen and something else to grow mealwood. so a high room of 5 is advised but to maintain the romm restictions u cant plant many maelwood so u r stuck with a room that supports around 4 drecko

Plastic, fiber, eggs and meat is quite the bounty for the hassle.
Your room doesn't need to fit a stable's size either. That only helps a bit in domestication as far as I know. Both grooming and shearing stations work fine outside a stable.

make your room tall. hydrogen on the top and carbon dioxide on the bottom. pumping air in/out is a hassle, but yeah

Is Reed even worth it honestly? It's for suits and that? Over the course of building and expanding you can get enough reed from the environment honestly. I've never planted it and I have 7 suits right now.

You dont even need Mealwood, just get pincha peppers.

not really , in one of recent patches they made they dont eat these anymore whos dumb as my 2 farms are basicly now useless and i dont got enough "said food" to not make them die

they only eat mealwood and bristle berries now

Whos dumb as they completly changed the creature , does not eat plants can eat only food , does not expel dirt expels fosphorite , scales dont grow in chlorine but hydrogen now

they dont even are listed on the feeder ether and you have to feed them by "sage hatch"

What you're really after is the plastic. The fiber is just a bonus early on while you build up glossy drecko breeding stock.
