Mechanical Overflow

I've seen this mechanical overflow used on the Klei forum. It's really useful and I haven't seen it mentioned here often so I thought I would share.

When a bridge is connected to a pipe the bridge has priority. So the flow will be directed to the bridge until it is full. When the bridge is full the flow will be directed to the pipe.

You can use these to balance out the lines of a nat gas power plant. That way the lines aren't backed up and more generators can run at once. Any overflow can be sent to a buffer room and returned to the system as needed.

Bridge pipes has great uses like that including priority input where you can make sure lavatory water goes to fertilizer maker before other sources.
