How quickly should my dupes be getting skill points (experience)?
I'm in Cycle 10 and my original dupes still haven't gotten a second EXP point. The ones that did didn't get them all at the same time. What impacts how quickly a dupe will get a skill point? Is it just learning and passage of time, or do they need to be doing things? And if they need to be doing things, does it matter what they are doing, or only that they are no idle?

Well the INT based traits affect it. Yokel and the other one.

Are you sure? I assumed learning still effects "attribute" gain (like Construction, Digging, etc.) but the text hasn't been updated. (Because they ust changed "skills" to "attributes" to reduce confusion with the new skills tab.)

EDIT: @andrewdaniels, I started a new run and at cycle 10 my starting dupes are half way to their second experience point. I'm not sure if dupes gain passive experience, but they do gain experience from doing jobs. Klei just changed "liked" jobs from giving +50% experience when performing to giving -1 Morale for skills. (Things like "Supply" only give experience during delivery, so I'd assume some jobs give better experience.)

By the cycle 50, you will have mastery of every indidivual job in a dupe. So specialize them because you wont keep up with morale requirements if oyu want a jack of all trades.

So maybe every 6-7 cycles they pick one up if they are well-utilized... that helps
