New spores how to avoid?

Every 2 days one of my dupes just goes nuts and smashes parts of my base because of these spores from flowers.I ain't sure how to avoid this?

I don't have a hard fix for this.

Make a greenhouse and put a non-allergic dupe up for farming and harvesting duty.

My cook is allergic and is eating all the food himself it really sucks so keep spores out of the base entirely. Obviously, clean the air with pure oxygen to kill the old spores.

The simplest solution is never plant any decorative flowers, except for the starting ones. Not a great solution, but that's what I did after a similar experience. Apparently the dupes have no allergic reactions to the seeds, or to the other plants as long as they are wearing exosuits.

I've got no decorative plants, its the food plants that let it off. Think i need to move all farming to a seperate base thats only accessed with exosuits.

Which food plants? I have blossoms and mealwood, and some nuts outside, and I haven't gotten a single allergic reaction in my current base. Same plants as last time, when Harold completely stopped working as intended because he was having constant allergic reactions. The only difference is that I planted some ferns and tropical plants in the base last time, but not this time. Also I closed the base off better. Does chlorine do anything to the flower spores? Can't think of anything else I'm doing differently from the first to the second base I made after the last update.

Don't take allergics dupes or uproot thoses wild flowers.

Thoses spores give also a bonus... will be sad to not have it.

Blossoms will produce floral scents when fully grown and ready for harvest. Either harvest them the instant they're ready to limit how much is released or separate your farm from the main base and have a non allergic dupe do the farming.

My brissel blossoms farm room is filled with "Floral scents" it comes up on the same way germs does.

I dont mind downsides cause it also buffs some people. But 80% stress from 1 thing is insane.

Yes, I effectively lost one or two dupes to this. They just never got better and couldn't do any work, like politicians. I solved it by not planting anything weird and, I guess, harvesting my blossoms quickly.

Yes, I know. But he took one and then immediately got sick again. Many times that happened. It's really why I started a second base on this update with some changes from the start, flower-wise.

It's as bad as in real life. I can tell you all. Allergies in the game are just realistic.

Im a bit of a eugenics ahole on this one and simply avoid allergic anything....

Allergies are a leveler to prevent Floral Scent from being over powered. The easiest way in the world to clear slime is to plant buddy plants and let the floral scent over power the slime lung (pretty much instantly).

I experimented with a floral scent oxygen purifier and it works very very well.

That said, to offset allergies you will need to set up your dupes with allergies to never enter areas with floral scent. Allergy meds, and a rec center is highly advised.

Suits will help, but if the airlock gets a wiff of floral in it and they remove the suit *SNEEZE*

Easiest fix is just don't take dupes with allergies and reap the rewards of floral scents unhindered.
