Uh...can I not relocate Shine Nymphs?
So I have one Stable with an incubator. I incubated some Shine Nymphs, expecting that I could trap them with the Airborne Critter Bait and move them to the room I want them to be in. But every time I build an Airborne Critter Bait, the Shine Nymph just eats the Phosphorite and the Airborn Critter Bait building disappears. You can't wrangle Shine Nymphs. Is it possible to relocate Shine Nymphs?

relocate the eggs and they will hatch on their own. Make little glass prisons and you can use them to power your solar panels

I already hatched the eggs I had. T_T

But I'm mad because the info panel for a Shine Nymph says it can be captured by a lure. This is either a bug or a mistake that needs to be corrected.

And I tried the lure with an adult Shine Bug. Same result: the lure breaks and the bug isn't captured. Seems like you have to deal with them as eggs.

You can wrangle them if you set a critter drop off near them. Set it to auto wrangle, critter amount 0 and choose the critter you want wrangled in the filter.

You really can't.

Simply put you are "supposed" to use the lure to lure them to the area you want, its not a trap by itself.

Now that's a clever idea.

Each one will make at least 1 egg in its lifetime. I suggest building a grooming station and sticking the next egg that drops into the room with it. A groomed shine bug will lay tons of eggs in its lifetime if they get groomed. Same with any critter but I stuck a shine bug in my drecko farm one time and forgot about it. Came back later and there were bugs and eggs everywhere.

This is the answer. On another asteroid, I confirmed that you can move multiple shine bugs where you want them to go by using one aerial critter bait. It seems the bait attracts every flying critter that wants that particular food within a certain radius (the shine bug that was farthest away didn't fly to the bait). So you're supposed to use the bait to motivate the bugs, not catch them. :)

Yes you can, try it, I just did with a gassy moo.

You're right. It's possible. I used your technique to move shine bugs into my underground solar panel room. :D It's nonsensical that you can't manually wrangle them.

Unfortunately, three shine bugs only provide about 20 watts of power from a solar panel. There go my big dreams of endless underground bug power! XD

Hey, that's why the game is fun. :)

This is the easiest way to move shine nymphs. You need the room they are in to be 96 or less tiles otherwise I don't think the auto-wrangling works but you can build a critter drop off and set it to 0 max critters and auto-wrangle all the shine nymphs at once with no lures. All you need is a duplicant that has the wrangle skill.

It works with any room size, even large open spaces. The critter drop off just has to be close enough for the wrangler to call the critter.
