How do I find how much critters per room to not get cramped?

count them, and after one of them get the debuff cramped you remove that one and set a critter sensor to that number ( or make the max size room )

12 squares per hatch, drecko, basically anything apart from pacus which need 8 and those puffs which need 16....

I don't think I've been able to go above 5 without "cramped" in a 96 tile room.

it is 8 hatches for max sized room, note that also eggs counts towards that number

you're right, hmm though they needed 4x4 space but haha 3x4 is enough.

still 8 is the max per max. room size. just remove the eggs or let it be the only downside is they won't lay new eggs.

i have 3x8 hatch farm i like it, lots of coal lol.
