liquid tank automation?
Hey how can i automate liquid/gas tank for example if one is full, it will fill another one?
I cant see how to read out tank properties, i can only do pipes? if so, is there any workaround?

Im talking about the prefab tanks btw not a self built box

Atm only via valves and pipes

This. The liquid and gas reservoirs don't directly support automation, valves support it, you can probably figure out a way to use the Liquid/Gas Pipe Element Sensor with the valve.

but the pipe content is not the same as the tank content, for example if i want to kill germs and the germy water clogs 1 piece of pipe, but the water in the tank gets all cleaned, its not gonna work

what is the problem exactly, because looks like you have given in more effort than needed to the setup

i have 2 liquid tanks in a room full of chlorine and i want to switch when the first is full and then empty the full one when its germ free. and switch again.

Why do you need so much germ free water?

because i like it

Well ok then.

Timers would make the most sense tbh, instead of waiting for one to fill (remember that as you keep filling, you are adding germs) just have one sit on a door that is connected to a timer (the reservoir sits on the door). When the automation opens the door, the reservoir won't empty so it gives the Cl2 time to kill the germs. When the automation closes the door, the reservoir will be able to "work" (empty itself).

Or if you want a really beautiful design for a Cl2 room, check out neotuck's design for cleaning the germs in PW before sieving. I use it frequently.

Another lower tech solution is to have a few reservoirs lined up and fill them completely and let them sit. Then you allow them to just flow when the reservoir on the end is germ free.

What this does is as a packet of germy water enters the 1st reservoir, a clean packet of water exits the reservoir on the end. The germs that enter are dead by the time they get to the last res.

Once you start it, it never needs maintenance or automation. The only drawback is it takes up more space than neotuck's elegant 4x4 room solution.
