Buff imo
There is no construction positive trait.

Athletic is a great general trait for all dupes since they all need to run everywhere but I find it best on builder and supplier since you're usually building something far away from your base.

Twinkeltoes/divers lungs would be my ideal builder traits because there are no traits that directly affect bulid times, might as well just make that dupe less resource intensive or more mobile to get around.

Buff is the closest thing to directly affecting build times. If they can carry everything they need in one trip, like your groceries, it saves quite a bit of time over time. Aethletics is nice but is easy enough to level independently.

Makes sense. I will try it out.

I honestly would not get too excited about going strength on a builder; if you take supply 1 and supply 2 you get +800 kg carrying capacity anyways which vastly overpowered the small kg you get from str. Not to mention you can use a vacillator to get +10 str for doing nothing basically. It doesn't hurt and yes there's a reason to do it but you might want to think about going for something pretty unique powerful like divers lungs or twinkeltoes.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm just starting out so I'm not really in my element atm. :P

Oh, one more noobish question. Where should the oxygen diffuser be placed?

I would suggest placing it near sleep space and workspace (research station/hamster wheels). As your base gets bigger you should probably build some throughout the base because it's very important to udnerstand that a diffuser will stop making oxygen if there's already "too much" oxygen withina certain radius of it. You can use gas pumps to help the diffuser spread oxygen further withotu having to build more diffusers but that costs power, and you should still at least spread some diffusers over the place. But again always prioritize placing 1 diffuser near sleep, and 1 near work at the very bare minimum as a "safe zone" for dupes.

Thank you. Appreciate your response. :)

Have fun. One more practical thing to add about diffusers - use the F1 (oxygen) overlay to see where you need more oxyge in the base, that can help too. If you see a lot of red/dark blue areas where your dupes hang out a lot, you either need to put a diffuser there are pump oxygen into that area. But also don't go overboard with diffusers...you don't need all that many. One of them can support 4-5 dupes.

Oxygen overlay is ok to a point, F4 materials overlay then filter for gas is more informative once you get a general feel for things.

Set diffuser priority to like 7 as well. I keep forgetting to do that when I build one until I have everyone off digging a sewer hole and half the base goes dark blue.
