Wondering about airlocks
So I've seen a bunch of people starting to stream this game, which I have been following for a while, and I've kind of got to thinking

Would it be better to make airlocks have diffrent door levels, seeing as how there is rarely any other gasses that are as light as oxygen?

What I mean is like, having the exit be several times lower than the entrance, so air stays inside the base while most harmful or unwanted gasses stay below

I found a youtube channel that used water locks, because I play on low stress mode, the -15% or whatever stress debuff from being wet doesnt affect me in anyway. The water lock is simple and keeps any gasses from mixing. This way I dont need to worry about gas density or what gas sinks and which ones rise.

Its kinda cheesy but the game doesnt give me any proper air lock items to build, I used to use 2 or 3 doors as an airlock but eventually gases escaped.

This is the youtube video I learned from and used his middle water lock build.

I use liquid locks. The debuff doesn't last too long, it's a tradeoff I"m willing to make for the simplicity of the lock. Just saw a gas S lock on another thread I'm going to play with, I know they work, just think they're more complex and much larger so I'm not sure I'll use them in a real playthrough.

Nothing cheezy about them, it's an intended mechanic, they show at least a couple in the release trailer:

I use liquid locks, but a ladder like down 6 spaces a space between, then 6 up does work as a temporary airlock. Perhaps, as an early game work around, when exploring

This *can* work but a large pressure differential can blow the gasses right out from what I've heard.
