How to set cooking limit?
I have a few stables (a lot of meat) and plenty of wild pincha peppernuts. I set barbeque on "forever", however I currently have 600,000 kcal stored...

I set up my fridges so that only one stores barbeque and wired it to the electric grill where barbeque is cooked, however the cooked piece of barbeque weights 1kg and it can be moved to inside the fridge only as a whole. However, my fridge has amounts of barbeque such as 79.4kg, 1317g, 277.6g etc. As a result, the fridge is never full and never sends the automation signal...

Any ideas how I can make it work?

I was wondering about pressure plate to detect barbeque lying under the electric grill (I have a sweeper here), however the cook stands at exactly same spot, so I would have to set the signal for a few pieces of barbeque (say 2kg) + duplicant weights (30kg?) and disable the grill when that 32kg limit is exceeded. However, as soon as cook moves away from the grill, this would re-enable it... Adding access gates or duplicant sensor is an option, but this whole system gets far too complicated for such a simple task...

I could make one sweeper pick up the barbeque from the grill and drop it in area not accessible by the dupes onto the pressure plate. Second sweeper would be putting it from the pressure plate into the fridge. If pressure plate has some weight for a second or so, stop the grill.

Simpler logic, but the area required is an overkill...

Sorry, I can't help, just an FYI, they removed the requirement for peppernut for barbecue, it now only requires 3200 kcal of meat (I just checked by Electric Grill).

?? dont get it

You need a prodution cap ??

why you dont use a hard limit on the storage or a critter sensor

Oh also there is a dup sensor now ( no need for a button )

After further thought (and a peek at oni-db.com), the fridge has automation output. Set the limit you want, connect the automation to your food cookers (I haven't tested, you may need a NOT gate) and when the fridge reaches the desired level the cookers are disabled.
