How to you actually set what a room is?
The threatment beds & massage tables in particular seem to have some sort of negative to not being in the 'right' room, but the tutorial massages didn't actually cover how to do that.

Help?

1) If you click the bed icon in the 'overlays' panel in the top-right corner (or press F11) it will bring up a list of room types in a panel marked "Room Overlay". The UI will darken to show properly defined rooms.

2) Hovering over a room type in the panel will give you the information about what the size constraints for that room are and what object(s) need to be placed in a space in order to make that kind of room, as well as some information about what benefits that room type confers.

3) To create a room, fully enclose a space of a valid size for the room type. By fully enclose, I mean that it must have walls and doors clearly "blocking in" the tiles of the room. Then place the required item(s) inside that space. In the room overlay, it should acquire the shading matching the colour coding in the room overlay panel for that type of room. Congrats, you've made room.

A closing note: rooms that give morale bonuses have to actually be used once a cycle in order to confer their benefits. It does you no good to, for example, build a washroom if your dupes continue to use the old latrine every cycle. That being the case, some rooms tend to be mutually exclusive in terms of their rewards - there's no point in having both a washroom and a latrine, both a barrack and a bedroom, both a mess hall and a great hall. Your dupes will generally only use one room of each of these classes in any given cycle, and only get the morale bonus for the one they use.

Stay within the requirements and the room will set itself. The Room Overlay will show you those requirements.

E.G: Barracks
At least one bed (Cot or Comfy Bed)
No industrial machinery
Minimum size 12 tiles
Maximum size 64 tiles
