Latest Version Download
Hey Folks, where would I go to get the latest version of the game with all the new stuff? Klei's website doesn't seem to have it and I can't figure out how to get it.

If only there was some sort of....game distribution platform.

so an actual answer is to click on properties and in the betas, select the the launch testing line of betas.
Doing this from memory so some parts may be less detailed.

Go to where ONI is in your game library, and right click the name on the left. This should open a small menu. At the bottom of the menu, there should be an option that says "preferences". Click this.

In windows, this opens a new window with several tabs at the top. Click on the "Betas" tab. There should be a drop down visible on this tab that says something along the lines of "opt out of all betas". Click the drop down menu. There should be several other options, one that says something about monitoring your game, while the other says something like "launch testing". Choose the second option, then let your game update.

If you look back in your library, the game name should now indicate that you are using the testing branch launch update. If so, this means you can just start the game and all the currently implemented items will be available.

If only it were as obvious as right clicking on obscure things that haven't been mentioned anywhere else but this forum...

While indeed not obvious, every game on steam that offers any other game versions apart from the "current stable version" are accessible via this exact same method.

You either use it to roll back to a previous patch in case loading older saves would break them on the newer game version (I do this a lot with Crusader Kings II) or -like in this case-, some developers let people access non-stable updates of their games for bug correction and player feedback.
