Which game should i play first....DS or ONI ?
Hello community,

I treated my self to the survival deal which has both of these games as well as DST and Hamlet and Shipwrecked.........
What do you think would be the best game to play first, its my first venture into any game from this publisher and id like to enjoy my experience as much as i can and get the most value for money for my investment into this publishing company so i can maximise my experience in each of these games as much as possible alow the gaming experience to unfold as organicly as much as possible while still enjoying the differences of both games with in the context of them both coming from the same game publisher.

Thanks !

It's a fun challenge at first but gets old after a while. - you can do the basic start up task only so many times before you really get sick of them. For some people this is great, but for a lot of people this was a game killer.

There are various resurrect mods on the workshop that let you get around this so you can continue where you left off when you die, and unless you really like loosing everything when you die, I strongly recommend you get one.

Better yet, get Don't Starve Together, which has a built in mode that allows resurrection after death, as well as several nice resurrection mods and a lot of mods that enhance gameplay (DS also has a lot of really nice mods). I run a DST server, and the same players keep coming back hour after hour and build up their forts and fight off monsters and farm and etc.

ONI has *much* more to do than DS, Don't Starve is really rather shallow in comparison. The DS world is not that big, and in a short period of time you have pretty much seen all there is to see and done all there is to do. You can progress through the storyline through the various worlds, and that adds a lot of playability to it.

Honestly, I despise DS, I like DST and love ONI. But you really should try them all, You gotta play DS at least once. And be sure to try out Shipwrecked and Hamlet.

I haven't played DS but I love ONI. They are very different games. If you want something single player (I think DS has SP too) I'd say ONI but I'm biased. No MP in ONI so if that's what you're looking for it's an easy choice :) Either way, enjoy them!

I would say pick one at random, play it, and die until you don't feel the urge to jump right back in. Play the other game die die die, rince repeat ^^
