Where do i get lumber? and what about solar energy

as the topic says , i never found any lumber or sun. is there a surface i can dig to ?

Yes there is a surface. It is bombarded with meteors so make sure you have steel for bunker doors before entering. Solar power is a bit tricky because of the meteors. It's not easy free power.

Lumber is grown from arbor trees. These spawn naturally in some maps but not all. If you don't have them you will have to hope one spawns in the printer, or perhaps you can find some later by sending rockets to other planets.
