Transformer "Power Loop Detected" Issue
I can't find any information on this. On two separate saves I've had an issue with my transformers telling me there's a power loop. It describes this as "A transformer's power output should not be connected back to it's own input". Thing is, the output and input aren't connected to each other. I'm not sure what the power loop does but I think it strains my power grid because wires are frequently breaking.

Well, then post a screen, because this is exactly what it does. Output is connected to input. Thats your problem.

Yep, it's there to warn you that *somewhere* you hooked up the input side to the output side.
So now the transformer is bypassed and the circuit you wanted to seperate does bear the same load as the main line.

That's the thing, no where does the circuit loop. It's connected to my generator, then to my batteries, then the transformer. I don't know where the loop is.

Here's a screencap if you wanna take a look at it. If you notice where I went wrong please let me know. https://imgur.com/a/ilzSbZW

You've directly connected transformer input and output, that's your "loop". Transformer does exactly nothing this way and the warning is to indicate it.

The loop that it is talking about is that the input of the transformer cannot be connected to the output of the transformer - and that is what you've done.

It is absolutely beyond my comprehention how it is possible to make such mistake even though you have on very same screen an example image of how to connect wires to a transformer.

Transformers have an input spot and an output spot, keep them off the same line.

Wow, there are so many things wrong with that image, I can't even...

Please educate yourself.
You connected inputs and outputs right on both transformes and also by the games logic dont connect wires with different conductivity, delete those 3 tilled "L's" on trafos

You are right. There is no visual loop but the error must be the two generators connected by their input.

Thanks for the help! By "power loop" I thought that somehow my circuit was sending power back into my transformer output. I wasn't aware that having the input and output on the same wire was causing the issue. I appreciate the constructive feedback.

I love finding old steam discussions to find my problems and solve them xD

You can find them and use them, but that does not mean you have to become a necromancer and resurrect them. They will stay useful even if you let them rest in peace.
