Which Door is best with insulation?

I have a small heating problem and I would like to know if doors do anything to insulate, if so, which ones insulate more?

Doors are all made from raw metal and raw metal conducts heat fairly well.

There's nothing to reasonably insulate them without making them useless as a door.

Make an airlock-style double-door using manual or mechanical airlocks (mechanical ones are faster, even unpowered), and pump out all the air between them with a gas pump to create a vacuum. There -- now there are no particles for the heat to disperse into, and any hot or cold air that does get in will be quickly pumped out. The best insulation possible.

Actually what Setokaiva mentioned is the only way to make a perfectly insulated door. Its also even easier now with the 1x2 sized mini pumps :)

Thanks! That's a good idea, hopefully I'll be able to advance far enough to try it out.

Another way to make the vacum is by having three doors. the one in the middle is automated and opens when the others are closed.. it may take a bit to get it to work perectly.. but it is an easy way to make a vacum.. if all the doors are closed, and then you open the middle one, there will be a vacum in that space.

Must test this, but don't you think Klei will be changing this by making gas flooding on an open door?

Monkeysam, this could work, or not - middle door is still there, so it possibly would conduct heat. Need testing.
Flydo, I hope they won't. It's pretty much what should work IRL.
