Can you seal Gysers?
When I plaster them with normal tiles, will they break out?

do you mean as in building tiles on top of 9 geyser squares? because some weird stuff happens if you tile the center square and I'd avoid it.
you can build a chamber around it with any strong mineral. You can also (advised) build doors around it, lock them, and build stuffed tiles around the doors.

Done it several times all 9 tiles closed up, have not seen any problems.

I however would recommend build a row of Abysallite tiles around it, place a pump made out of Gold Amalgan in it (cables as well). If the lower 6 tiles of the Geyser are flooded the geyser stops producing water and steam. If you need the water you can enable the pump by switch from the outside. Gives you more control of the water and if not needed does not flood your base.

Abysallit tiles to contain the heat and because it is a strong material. Gold Amalgan because it does not get damaged around 100°C. However you will get problems cooling down the steam to water after 20 cycles or so maybe a cooling pipe above the geyser as well or a wheezewort above the geysr but within the tiles. I would also place a Hydro-Sensor made out of Gold Amalgan as well to enable the pump only when enough water is available.

I think it's better to build around the edges so you can still see the geyser. Then when you're ready to use it, you can add on to the containment area.

I already have 6 gysers, I don't think I will need any more. Building a larage room around it really does not fit well into my base.

I sealed it with 9 abyssalite insulated tiles and it seems to work so far.

yes you can.
once they reach maximum pressure, they won't spit out anymore gas/steam/water

I say build a room around it, with open top, let it flood itself and stop working, then seal it from the top.

That would work but I have personally sealed off steam geysers with 3 thick walls bar the central tile which I left as a reminder it was there.
