I've never seen a void area. Are these still in the game?
The only things that delete gas from the air are: hydrogen generators (turns hydrogen into power), scrubbers (removes carbon dioxide and turns it into polluted water, however DOES NOT replace it with oxygen) and freezing temperatures which turns gas into liquids and solids.
If you are wondering if you will have to continually increase your base size, then the answer is simply no.
If you have a single hydrogen generator deleting the hydrogen that is created by your electrolyzers, and a few scrubbers cleaning the carbon dioxide: then all that will be left in your base (ideally) is clean oxygen. At that point, who cares if your pressure maxes out? You will be maxed out with oxygen, so no dupes will die. They electrolyzers will just pause their production until gas levels go down, and then they will resume production.

Cheers!
The power generated I doubt is enough to counter act the byproduct in your case of too much O2, even if you went to the extremes of
A: hollowing out the entire map, you would eventually hit pressure limits.
B: Maxing consumption of O2 via dups and removing CO2 with scrubbers, power requirements would be the issue.
C: liquifying O2, again power requirements.
It's simply not viable to use hydrogen as a stable powersource currently if that's what your main issue is.
