Dumb question, but how can i rotate things like Doors etc. ?

Not all buildings can be rotated. Pipe, Vent and Wire crossings can be rotated with O.

I looked into rotation, too: Apparently Doors can be rotated and become platforms, even when opened. Not sure for how long though.

I think it's the "O" key. It's in the tooltip when you try to place it.
