Oh dear gawd, I hope this doesn't spin off into some stupid multiplayer tacked on garbage I've seen so much of. In fact, lets not even bother with it at all and stick to what seems to be working for it quite well right now.
Just how do you even imagine multiplayer working with the direction it is going?
Have you even looked at their roadmap to know what this game is going to be?
Why does your name seem so familiar?
So many questions.
If some genius is capable of making this into a worthwhile multiplayer experience, then sure. But as I see it right now, it is perfectly fine as a one person only experience. If you really need the extra eyes you could try to do a stream and have people watch you play live.
Please don't be one of the sort that thinks multiplayer is easy as hell to just tack on after it has been finished. It isn't by any stretch. Integrating multiplayer into a single player game is rough.
Vice versa is quite the opposite.
I don't think you understand my comment.... I actually don't want them to implement multiplayer, because for me the game is as difficult as it is solo, let alone when you play with someone else.
It'd be a lot easier to add multiplayer while making the game as opposed to try and implement it on a finished, balanced produced.
You might not want a multiplayer mode but other players do.
You don't like MP? Then don't play MP. But don't wish for the game to remain a solo one, that's just being petty.
Inevitable 40+ loner leaving a sardonic comment, random anti-millenial rant next?
Single player is not OK you bleeping loner. Get a life and make friends.
Implementing Multiplayer has nothing to do with you playing solo. You can and should play in Solo mode. Look at Don't starve. You are welcome to play solo on your own if you wishes to choose so. Please explain to me how implementing multiplayer mode will affect you?
On top of that how would multplayer even work? It's fun in Don't Starve because I have direct control over a character. ONI though you'd likely be sharing the same pool of dups. The only benefit to a second player would be placing builds quicker and having a second pair of eyes detecting problems. It's not like I can tell Gossman to go complete a specific task.
All in all if the Klei can and wants to make an "ONI Together" in the future more power to them, but I can completely understand why they have elected to make this a single player experience.
If I wanted to play this multiplayer I'd just invite a friend over and we could both come up with ideas for the base
