Gas Filter Bug
Hi.

I was trying to rig up a piping system with a few gas filters, but not only did they not function (at all), but the priority gas being filtered was reset every time a save is loaded.

The gas filters seemed to be properly connected an powered. When I looped the system around them, the system worked just not the gas filters.

I tried to use them yesterday, it didn't work for me either. I tried to filter Hydrogen out of the oxygen in the room where my electrolizers were, but for some reason (not enough pressure in the room ? Not enough quantity to filter ?) it wouldn't work.

In the end I just ended up doing a really tall room, with a pump for oxygen at the bottom, and one for hydrogen at the top... not very efficient :(

I had a gas pump in a tall room too, linked to my hydrogen power station, but even though it was surrounded by hydrogen gas, it only ever took in contaminated oxygen. I had to build a different pump in another location to get my hydrogen.

Same here. I got the problem with the pressure all the time idk if this is because the room i got the gas have a lower pressure 300g/sq than the target room 400g/sq. The filters worked halve of the time then they got stuck. I also tried to seperate oxygen from the pipeline to the hydrogen generator but as soon i had some oxygen in front of the filter the whole process got stuck.

I also tried the whole thing with pressurized pipes but i got no effects.

I think there is a pressure component to the equation, but a Gas Valve didn't seem to help.

I belive it was due to the latest patch and they are probably trying to hammer out the new bugs. I suspect it will work again soon.

*facepalm* they're not bugged. The red gas output on the filter have to be connected to a gas output then anything works fine.

But they still reset after reloading a save

i already create a bug report on this and the dev already giving a response, this is their response:

"This issue has been fixed in either a future version or updated in a previous version."

i figure it will be in the future build version :/

Just tested the latest update, and the bug has been fixed. The gas filter works properly. :)

so it's just very counter-intuitive, take a look at it:

it just looks like being opened for the filtered gas and not like having to be attached to another pipe..

yeah, had a wrong link before, you should be able to see it now.

You're talking about the fact that the filter breathes? Yes, it's rather jarring to see. I initially thought that the filter releases gas like a vent due to the animation...so I spent a lot of time making dedicated rooms for each gas.

Can these filters also be used topurify contaminated substances (I mean oxygen & water)?

No, they're to separate mixed lines.
