Contaminated water everywhere and hydrogen problem
Can someone explain some things to me that I can't figure out.

I get contaminated water in my rooms. And they drip down the ladders to my other rooms so I have to mop 24/7.

How do I stop the rooms getting contaminated water from nowhere? I have tiled walls all around.

I tried using gas pump but it also removes the oxygen...

How do I remove hydrogen from a room so I have 100% oxygen?

Your duplicants are probably puking from being over 60% stress.
Make them a massage table, put paintings or potted plants near their beds, make sure they aren't walking around in puke, or by dead bodies. Also make sure they have enough clean oxygen and aren't over heating.

Can't speak to the hydrogen problem from experience, but i think there is a machine that separates gases from each other. Hydrogen should also rise if you dig out a hole in your roof (use ladder, plus dig out a column on each side until enough space to hold the hydrogen. Quick fix until you can figure out a more permanent one.

I have not played the game myself, but from the footage ive seen on YT all gases have their own physics. Heavier gases like carbon dioxide and such tend to sink, so having a gas well in your basement is not a bad idea. Secondly hydrogen, oxygen or methane tend to rise. This can be compensated by shoving a gas well in the roof, but this will also turn into a focusing point for your O2. So its a double edged blade for the roof.

Ultimatly the best way to resolve gas problems is with the airlocks. Using those you can seal off the more hazardous areas of the base to your living quarters. You do NOT want your O2 production outside your living quarters though. Try to have those together if you can.

I have the same problem in multiple place, though i only have one vomit dupli, so i don't think he is everywhere. I looks like it all started when i grabed the slime, as i ran out of algea, but that might be a coincidence. I have weird gree nclouds that seem to pop out of my storage lockers, but no idea what it could be or if that is a gas effect that is in the same area.

Overall the water is really weird, i have a "lake" with 3 empty block, yet the water randomly still "jumps" up those theree blocks around the ladder.

I definetly have to invest a lot more in into decor, the massage table just is far to slow, as even a small problem can mood spiral your colony far faster than you can do anything about it.

Sweeping up debris from areas they spend a lot of time in seems to be the cheapest mood improving tact (use storage lockers, or compactors or whatever they're called, can build them without research). You can press the decor filter then click on something (like a bed) to see what its mood/time effects will be and what is contributing to what degree (pos/neg) to that.

If you have something that produces contaminated liquid/gas stored in your lockers they will leak...other than that and stress vomitting, people not making it to toilets can cause them to use the bathroom all over the place and the slime->algae machine generates contaminated water (i assume you're piping it to an appropriate place). Probably more, but that's what i've figured out so far.

can i just have a world with no toliets and high stress and just let the contaminated water drain down to a containment area? and let it build up for weeks then use it when I need it?

yes, also get all stress response: vomit derps for even more fluids. if you have the metal and have researched the final medical tier, you can make floors that are drains so all the fluid falls straight down. (also, note: mopping up fluids destroys them).

ohh, and you can use ladders as "floors" that drain through, also (sooner, cheaper).

I've been playing this game for some time now, and I have run into the same problem you have. For the water, make a pit for contaminated water, and one for clean water. Set up a pipe system so that dirty water is pumped into a water filter, and the clean water goes into the clean water pit. For the hydrogen, I have the same problem, it has killed 2 colonies for me. I think that the Electrolyzer is the machine that is making it. Meaning, don't use the electrolyzer, use algae deoxydizers, and build a Bio Distiller to turn slime into algae. I have tried every way to get rid of hydrogen, but it doesn't work, even with air filters.

... Yes, the electrolyzer converts 2x H2O (water) into 2x H2 (hydrogen) and 1x O2 (oxygen).

You can solve the hydrogen problem a few ways; best is to use it as a fuel source (there is a hydrogen-fueled generator you can build).

Put your electrolyzer in its own room with a pump. Pump the hydrogen/oxygen mix to a filter, filter the hydrogen off to your hydrogen generator and the oxygen into your base.

You may want to consider running that oxygen through a thermal regulator as the small room will probably get a bit warm.

Still, its an easy and simple way to eliminate any hydrogen buildup in your base.

This should solve your problems:

Updated version in a few days.

Agreed, but I did not see any info on the icon for the electrolyzer. And yes, I did try the hydrogen power generator and it wasn't efficient enough. I will do as other people said and put it in a separate room with the oxygen generators.
