Chemistry with chlorine and hydrogen
1.Hydrogen and chlorine react quickly to produce hydrochloric acid. But in the game I found the mixture of H2 and Cl2.
2.Hydrogen generator cannot generate water(H2O).I think the mechanism of the Hydrogen generator is just like recyclable battery.

I hope this thing can be fix soon.THX

Almost no reaction is right in the game (many would make it very hard, some even unplayable.)

The Hydrogen Generator doesn't generate water.

A realistic hydrogen generator would be impossible to use due to the fact that you need the oxygen to breathe. This would make the electrolyser impossible to use since you can't vent hydrogen to the environment (at least not forever), so you will either run out of oxygen when algae run out, or die when the entire map is filled with hydrogen.

I don't think that's a huge improvement over what we have right now.

Another mechanism that astonished me is gas chlorine (Cl2 = 71) is lighter than carbon dioxide (CO2=44)

Well ... too much realism spoils the fun and raises additional problems we normally only have in real life. Most things are so boring in reality you could never made a game out of it. It was tried and will be tried to mimic reality in computer-games and the closer it gets the less fun it's making ... but we don't want and/or have enough time for a 2nd life in Virtual Space we just want a little fun and if some adjustments to rules are made here and there to spice up the experience so be it.

Really? I think it is awesome when games can apply reality and have it be functional in the game. It is true genius. Glossing over it or "magic" is the deus ex machina mechanic that is often disheartening.

When Klei seriously plays with science, they should be seriously considering the true science instead of what GD said to be fantasy.

When I first looked at oxylite and mineral description, I did take their scientific understanding seriously, and not until I tried to press down that DaMn chlorine with carbon dioxide produced from coal burner and terribly failed was I so taken aback

They can easily change the gas weights. I would expect them to do so when they realize their error.

I also expect chlorine to behave differently in the future. Like as an actual flesh melting gas.

A lot of realism can be great for a game like this. People can learn some basic science. I know it is much needed in the States.

Then i want my 3rd dimension back! Would be nice to be able to put more then one typ of pipe and etc. on a tile but at this point i could play mindcraft or something similar.

Realism is nice if possible but ALLWAYS put fun first.

Yeah chlorine being lighter is almost certainly not an error. I'm sure they deliberately made CO2 the heaviest gas, since it really would not be fun if we had to babysit the CO2 scrubbing all the time.

If I could refund after playing 120+ hours, I would refund with the reason of fake and misleading science, this is just frustrating to a major degree to me, who loves applying everything learned in daily life and game.

Not a very intuitive game to me, in terms of science elements.

If you buy a cartoony video game expecting serious science then maybe you need more science in your life.

The first time I played, I had my kid on my lap and I explained that I was trying to keep the chlorine and hydrogen seperate due to the hilarity that could ensue.
