It used to run perfectly for me whe you turn Phys-X off. But lateley, it will only run windowed and i cant change the resolution, which were all things i was able to do a couple months ago.

Found a fix for phys-x here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/45710/discussions/0/846965056843012868/

Needs to run 60hz / 60fps where the game crashes.
And you need to set vsync in your graphic cards panel settings to ON.

Tho you can use HotKey resolution changer to toggle from example 144hz to 60hz when you run into area's where the game will crash if you really want the higher fps experiance.

Link to HRC: https://funk.eu/hrc/

This worked for me on a nvidia 1070 card.

Just bought it on steam (again since I already had the retail DVD with annoying DVD check and no decent crack available to remove it). Works fine on Windows 10 1809, don't worry and don't listen to uninformed users. No issues also registering the given Securom key.
Has just an annoying first run after install procedure including a forced reboot but there are no issues, and then the game will run fine in 1080p fullscreen, including PhysX effects (smoke from jetpack...). You might have also some crashes the first 2-3 times you launch the game (e.g. also when changin screen res), then no crashes anymore.

Windows 10 x64 1809 (17763.134), Nvidia drivers 416.94 WHQL (1920x1080 75Hz G-Sync display), 980m 4GB.

Advice: the in-game setting for vsync doesn't seem to work as expected and won't cap framerate. For perfect smoothness and to save wasted GPU power (loose framerate can reach 500-1000 fps!) I suggest to use 'NVidia Profile Inspector' and set frame rate limiter to your max display Hz (e.g. mine is 75Hz so I've set 75fps. 60fps was a bit jerky since the fullscreen mode is actually initizialized at max video refresh: 75Hz in my case. Perfect smoothness: Hz=fps, 60/60, 75/75, 120/120...).

EDIT:
NVidia Profile Inspector:
Prefered refresh rate = use the 3D application setting
Vertical Sync = Fast Sync
Power management mode = Prefer maximum performance

Securom urban legend
Just FYI: Securom games ARE COMPATIBLE with Win10, a shim has been added long time ago to the OS and ALL Securom games do actually work (I have at least 4 games with Securom and they work perfectly fine, including an old retail game HD installed). The Securom incompatibility was only with early Win 10 OS release and has been solved.

If you have issues try to reinstall all packages from "...\steamapps\common\Dark Void\redist" especially the PhysX patches with "PhysX_9.11.12_SS_Fixup" as the last one to run.
