Can't launch game

So i recently bought the bundle, and the title says it all : the game simply doesn't launch.

When i press play, the steam button switches to "Launching" for a couple of seconds before returning to "Play". Neither the game nor graphics manager will do anything, whether used from steam or my files.
I have tried verifying the files integrity and manually editing the "Local.ini" file to no avail.

The same is true for Winter Assault, although Dark Crusade and Soulstorm work normally.

Any insight?

I've had this issue come up recently for dawn of war and stranegly some other games. I have no clue, I'm guessing its just an unfixable issue. I've uninstalled/reinstalled maybe twice and I noticed I had the same issue with a few other games. Maybe it needs a non-steam launcher or something (like what some EA games need)

*Solution*
1st step -> Game needs to be installed in C: drive (where windows is located)

2nd step -> check if the "data" folder is in the game files, if not, create one (should look like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War Gold\Engine\data")

3rd step -> check if "Regions.ini" has been installed if not create one with following:

lang=english
[mods]
w40k=english

final step -> have fun brothers :)

Did you install net framework 3.5 ? Also did you make sure your chosen resolution when picking settings for the game at first that you are using a resolution supported by your monitor?

in my case it started to work after I chose my actual video card instead of a default option in GraphicsConfig.
